Before recorded history, before myth, you were there, unseen, veiled in dust and morning light as those first villages rose to became cities of legend.

You watched the first kings rise, and when their kingdoms fell, you protected the people from the whispers in the night.

But there are things older than even you. Things that wait, locked in their pits. Things once cast into darkness.

And because of you, one of them has escaped.

Over the millennia, each time you found it and struck it down, it would rise again to slip through the cracks of history like a sickness.

But now something has changed. Now it moves with purpose. It has found something, or someone, it desires.

But you are not the only one hunting it.
